At Camping el Cares Picos de Europa you will sleep side by side with nature itself, where we offer an array of activities and facilities to quench your thirst for adventure, or if you prefer, to help you relax in our magical environment.
The valley is home to 25 different species of plants and trees, forming both shaded and lit areas allowing the campers to choose where they wish to camp. The campsite is located in the heart of a National Park and so is mostly untouched by human hands, giving the camp a more natural feel.
Two picnic areas can be found on the river bank, where some freshly baked local bread and Valdeón cheese make great appetizers. Privileged views of the Picos de Europa mountainside are visible from all corners of the campsite.
Our log cabins are scattered along the highest ridge of the Valdeón Valley, (1,200m high), following the meandering River Arenal downstream over cascades and waterfalls, creating a tranquil flow of energy harmonised in to a natural symphony.
The cabins, which are similar to the ones described in the tales of the Brothers Grimm, are made of wood or brick and are scattered around in the most picturesque areas of our campsite.
The cabins come kitted with bed sheets provided, a table with chairs and sleep four people spread out evenly between two bunk beds. We have also equipped the cabins with central heating to ensure comfort during the winter months.
If you are looking for accommodation complete with a kitchen and an en-suite bathroom, then you might be interested in Caravana del Cares, fully kitted-out caravan that sleeps six people. The price per night is only 72€ for up to four people, and then only an extra 13€ for each extra person up to the maximum of 6.
