MusiCares 2023, World Music Festival

We are back with the third edition of our most popular summer event, MusiCares is the World Music Festival in the Picos de Europa.

The MusiCares Festival is back!!!!

This year we have great artists who will transport us to distant countries but without forgetting our homeland… we will enjoy the Jazz We will let ourselves be carried away by the rhythms of Spanish-American folklore, we will delight ourselves with the most modern classical music and we will not stop dancing with the fusion of styles such as flamenco, cumbia or rock.

All this in a unique environment, surrounded by mountains and nature, and with all our desire to make you enjoy an unforgettable experience.

MusiCares Fest and its artists

Kreze

It is an innovative and fresh project, which has been germinating for some years. They make very deep, visceral and emotional music that will not leave you indifferent. It is a trio of strings and choral voices. compuesto por amigos con mucho cariño.

Davizín: guitar and vocals ( Chotokoeu, Folkólicos, Feral Booty, Rozadura, improvisóns, kadukaos)

Martiña: violin and backing vocals ( Chotokoeu, Folkólicos, La One)

Andrea : viola and backing vocals

They are about to record their first album this year (Curioso periplo, kadukaos).

Jácara Cambalacha

Elia Cornejo Muñoz (vocals and drums), Alea Esteban Iglesias (vocals and drums), Pedro Quirico Toribio (vocals and drums), and Fernando Leria Jiménez (double bass and vocals). They are the members of Jácara Cambalacha, a group of musicians with a great sensitivity towards the folklore of lands as far away as Latin America but which share ancestral roots.

Sounds that enrapture us through styles as varied as bolero, guaguancó, jota and cumbia.

All this is mixed with other popular manifestations such as sayings, tongue twisters, poetry and plays. With their voices, double bass and percussion, they bring a new perspective on folklore, placing special emphasis on the use and enjoyment of this music, which undoubtedly deserves to be valued and which belongs to everyone.

The songs they perform have been carefully selected and arranged by themselves, taking into account their background and experiences.

Mountain Jazz Experience

María Quiroga (vocals and trumpet), Rubén Díaz (tenor sax), Manuel González (piano), Juanjo Alonso (bass) and Guillermo Alonso (drums).

These León-based musicians from the jazz scene develop a repertoire of their own songs along with other styles such as bebop, blues, Latin jazz and even flamenco and Andalusian copla-inspired songs.

They have played in different events and festivals such as Villamajazz (Villamañán) or the Burón Jazz Festival.

Rogelio

Born in Cangas in 1981. Clown, jester, improviser and storyteller. In 2003 he founded the circus company Asircópatas with which he created 8 shows over the last 20 years, including Montagem, Abracadaver and Rogelio.

Thanks to these shows he leaves his home and travels to 15 countries. Founder of the cia. Muu also of circus he creates in 2019 the show Crunch! He has also ventured into other fields such as improvisation, where he has been teaching for several years and performing in productions at the CDG and participating in international festivals. He also participates in festivals such as Atlántica, writing his own stories for adults that he will publish in the book “Murmuraban as miñas veciñas” in 2022 and this same year he creates children’s storytelling shows such as “Historias desde o outro lado da raia” or with “Historias desde o outro lado da raia”.

They come and Band

Made up of singer Sara Bargiela, pianist Joel Ribeiro, bassist Iván Ceballos and drummer Pablo L. Barrios, their music manages to transmit a range of emotions that do not leave the audience indifferent.

This band, formed in the Basque Country, aims to bring jazz and swing music closer to the public. Through classical yet fresh works, he manages to engage not only those who are already familiar with this music, but also those who are listening to it for the first time.

Improvisons

It is an interactive impro musical show. Songs are constructed by playing different games with the audience.

On this occasion in trio format, guitar, violin and cajón.
